Prima Altered Book...

Just a lil something I made for my Mother-in-law for Mother's Day! I started with a very old book I found at the library. I tore out the center pages, then starting at the beginning of the book, I glued the pages together and did the same at the back of the book. I then curled the edges and sprayed the entire book with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Coffee Shop. After it was dry I covered the outside of the book with Prima papers and added the touches to the inside of the book.

White With 1 Challenge....

I'm so loving these challenges over at White With 1. It's amazing once you start going through your stash how much of a certain color you have. This weeks challenge was to use White... with Orange & Scallops.  To get the painted look in the background. I took wax paper and trimmed it to the size I wanted, then crinkled it up and applied a lite coat of white paint to it. I then applied light pressure to the paper once it was on the paper and carefully lifted it off. I totally love how it looks. I also used the leftover wax paper for the scallops...I thought it reflected the look of the drangonflies wings.

I {heart} Challenges...

I have been busy the past few days working on some Sketch Challenges. The first one is a layout I created for " White With 1 " April Challenge. For this challenge we were to create a layout using White + Olive +Twine. The photo of Myah was a little blurry when I recieved it from my SIL, so I took it into Picasa and put a glow on it so the focus was put back on Myah and not the blurriness. I love how it turned out.

Supplies used:
Bazzill Cardstock
Making Memories paint
Foof-a-la Buttons
Rub-ons/ Flowers/ Lace from my stash

This next layout I did for Week #4  April Challenge over at CITRUS TREE STUDIO. Citrus Tree is such a FUN, ACTIVE site with a bunch of FRIENDLY ladies and I have been having a blast getting to know everyone there. The pictures are ones that I took of Ajay when we were on vacation in Ohio last August. I just love how I captured his curiosity when he discovered rocks.

All challenges will be posted on Friday, April 29th and will be due on May 4th.
OH! And some of the prizes you'll be playing for?

We hope you'll join us in the kitchen and get those creative juices flowing!

Here is a Recipe layout that I cooked up for Janets Sketch challenge. I thought the crocheting around the edges would look awesome..but I didn't realize how long it would take and how tedious it would be, but I'm happy I gave it a try.

Prima Bird House

Here is a lil bird house I made yesterday. I have had the template forever and thaught I would give it a try. It's suppose to be a lil gift box, but I went ahead and glued the top down so that I could hang it.
