Treasured Moments

On this layout I did everything in sepia tones. I used Ranger Distress Crackle Paint on the picture,the ferns I downloaded from the internet & changed them from green to a taupe color and fussy cut them out. I then misted them with Tattered Angels glimmer mist. I made the flowers to match the background and also misted them. I distressed the edges and inked them with Ranger distress inks. The alphas are cut out with my cricut, the word "moments" I cut out three times and then glued them together to give them more depth. I am really pleased with the whole look of the layout.

Bracket Shaped Baby Card...

I wanted to try a new bracket card shape for this card, but couldn't find one anywhere online. So I just drew one up myself. I used a lot of misc. scraps for this card. I coffee dyed the lace ribbon to give it a vintage look. This card was made for the Card Style Shabby Chic and Vintage Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.


I was also playing with my distress inks and stamping..which you all know that I'm just not good at LOL and made this tag. I really like how it turned out...not sure what LO i'll be using it on yet,but I'm sure i'll think of one. ;)

String Painting Layout....

I saw this new technique over at Scrapbook News & Reviews called painting with string so I thought I would give it a try. I combined it with the Color Combos Challenge. I didn't have the right colors of paint so I had to mix the paints to achieve the right color(s). I mixed the yellow & red to get the Orange Crush color, and the bluberry & sage to get the Teal. After painting the background and laying out my pics..I thought it was kinda blah so I painted on the flourish with black paint. I'm not sure that I really like how it all came out, but it was fun playing and trying a new technique.

1st Birthday

I made this Layout for the ColorRoom challenge. The Sugar Coated paper is pretty hard to glue down,but I was pleased with the end result.

Vintage Layout

This is a picture of my sisters and brother. I'm thinking I was about 5 maybe 6 in this picture. I'm the one on the far left. LOL
I dyed the material & lace using coffee. Handmade all the flowers & spritzed them with glimmer mist & added stickles. Hand distressed the pages and inked them with the ranger ink.

Finally finished my 4th of July Layout...

JC and I spent the 4th by going to the beach and then we went to Harbour Town to watch the sunset & fireworks. This is my first time doing a collage with my pictures. I handmade the flowers & the curly ribbon.

Surprise package in the mail....

Look at this BEAUTIFUL tote sent to me by Tara Orr from Each Moment Only Once...is it not the most gorgeous tote you have seen?? I was so surprised when she sent me an e-mail asking me for my address and then I got this...so sweet!! Her work is amazing!! Thank you..Thank you Tara..it just makes my heart smile everytime I look at it.
