I think my dh has HADD

If you read that cute lil post of mine from a few days ago about the Housewife Attention Deficit Disorder...well I think they should rename it. My darling fiancee and I went grocery shopping today and Walgreens is right next door. So I told him I had to run in real quick and grab something and he said he would load the groceries and meet me over there. Wellllll I was only a sec getting what I needed, but forever in line waiting to check out. Don't yah just hate that! When I went out the door he was walking up laughing his head off. He's like you'll never believe what just happened and if your like me thousands of things rush thru your mind in that split second...and he starts laughing saying I put the groceries in the car and got down the road and realized I had forgot to stop and get you. Hehehehe it was soooo funny. He kept apologizing and then he said hey I think I have that HADD you put on your blog.

Don't you think it should be called Husband Attention Deficit Disorder!!LOL

OMG I have HADD!! LOL

Housewife Attention Deficit Disorder

This is how it develops:

I decide to water my garden.

As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide my car needs washing.

As I start toward the garage, I notice that there is mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mailbox earlier.

I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.

I lay my car keys down on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full. So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first.

But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox, when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first. I take my checkbook off the table, and see that there is only 1 check left. My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Coke that I had been drinking.

I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Coke aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over. I see that the Coke is getting warm, and I decide I should put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold. As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need to be watered.

I set the Coke down on the counter, and I discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers.

I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly I spot the TV remote Someone left it on the kitchen table. I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I will be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers. I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back down on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill. Then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day:
----the car isn't washed,
----the bills aren't paid,
----there is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter,
----the flowers don't have enough water,
----there is still only 1 check in my check book,
----I can't find the remote,
----I can't find my glasses,
----and I don't remember what I did with the car keys.

Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day long, and I'm really tired.

I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail.

Today Is National Pancakes Day!

LOL...Had to giggle when I heard this. Have you had your pancakes today?

Recipe from here

Alicia's Oatmeal Bread

1 1/4 c. warm water (110 degrees F)
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 packet or 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
2 c. all-purpose or bread flour
1 c. whole-wheat pastry flour
1/2 c. rolled oats
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons soft butter

In a large (2 cup) measuring cup, add brown sugar and honey to warm water. Stir to dissolve. Add yeast and stir, then set the timer for 5 minutes so the yeast can proof. While that's happening, stir the all-purpose flour, wheat flour, oats, salt, and butter together in a large bowl (or the bowl of a KitchenAid mixer with the bread hook attached). When the yeast has proofed, add the yeasty-sugary honey water to the flour mixture a bit at a time and work it all together until you have a shaggy lump of dough. Knead, either by hand on a floured board or by KitchenAid, for 10 minutes.

Shape the dough into a ball, put it back in the bowl, cover it with a damp dishtowel, and leave it to rise in a warm place for 1 1/2 hours. It should double in size. Punch it down, then knead it a few times on a floured board, then shape it into a long sausage shape and stick it in a 9" x 5" well-oiled loaf pan. Cover it with the dishtowel again and let it rise for 1/2 hour. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Place the pan in the oven and set the timer for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, turn the oven down to 400 degrees F. Set the timer for another 15 minutes (if it's getting too dark put a piece of tinfoil loosely over it). Take the bread out and turn it out of its pan and tap it on its bottom. If it sounds hollow, it's done! Let it cool on a wire rack.

Just found this yummy recipe and thought I would share. Going to give it a try this week.
