Saw a pair of Hooters This Evening....

Hi Ladies... I hope you all had a wonderful day. We spent a couple hours walking the beach this afternoon, then I came home and played in my scraproom. I made these flowers..aren't they sweeeeeeet!! I found the instructions on a friends site..so easy!! I'll ask her if I can post her blog here, in case any of you would like to give them a try. After dinner we went to the nature preserve and we saw a pair of owls. It's the first time I have captured an owl on camera. We were pretty excited to have seen them.

Thanks for looking!

Coloring Book Card....

I made this card for a group I joined over at SNR. This was the post:

(My 6 yo loves to get mail, but rarely does. I mean, what kid does, right? About a year ago, I started sending her mail from a "secret friend." It's usually a card I make and sometimes I slip little things into them. She got one today and nearly jumped out of her skin she was so excited.

It got me thinking. A lot of us have kids who would love to get mail. What if we make cards and send them to each others kids?

Let me know if you're interested and I'll set it up. The best thing to do is have everything sent to SNR. I'll collect the names and addresses of the kids and then send each kid a card. This way they'll get them around the same time and if by chance we have a couple people who aren't able to send them on time, one of us can make a couple in a jiffy.

Any takers? If so, put your name down and let me know how many kids you have and if you want to have all of them get cards or just one group card. If you have 3 kids and want each to get a card, then you'll need to send 3 cards and I'll pass them on to either a family with 3 kids or a couple families or if we have extra, I'll take them over to Mott's kids hospital here in Ann Arbor.)

I combined this with the SNB Creative Chicks Challenge.I decided to carry the card one step further and I made a coloring book out of it as you can see I made it so that the coloring pages can be taken off. I really like how it turned out.

Splish..Splash...

I made this Layout for the monthly challenge at Citrus Tree Studio. CTS is a really sweet site I just joined..lots of friendly ladies there. I stamped the edges with versamark then sprinkled black embossing powder & heat embossed it. I didn't have any chipboard so I took some thin card board and cut out the letters twice, then cut them from black bazzill & glued them all together and used stickles on it.

Bazzill Cardstock
Martha Stewart Papers
E K Success- Water Drops
Bazzill Bling
Cricut Cart - Plantin Schoolbook

I Finally Caught Him...

I have been trying for months to get this lil critter on camera and I finally did it. There are quite a few(not sure how many)that have a home in the tree outside our villa. We here them just after dark chattering away all night long.
